In this video I show you how to create and publish a new post in WordPress. Posts show up in the blog section of your website and are different than Pages. Pages are static.
Creating a New Post
To get started, login to your WordPress dashboard. In the main menu choose Posts » Add New.
Begin by entering a title for your post. Next select whether you would like to use the Visual editor or the HTML editor.
The visual editor is similar to using a word processing program like MS Word and the HTML editor is preferred by folks familiar with HTML formatting.
Add your body content and format it using either the buttons provided in the visual editor or HTML is you’re familiar with it.
When you’re ready to publish your post, click publish on the left hand side of the page.
